How Much Does a Gulet Charter Cost?

Real price bands from our fleet — and exactly what is, and isn’t, included.

A private, fully-crewed gulet charter typically costs between €9,000 and €35,000 per week. Entry-level gulets start from around €9,000, most luxury gulets fall between €20,000 and €35,000, and the largest, most exclusive yachts exceed €100,000 — always chartered privately for your group, with crew and fuel included.

What moves the price

Size & cabins

A six-cabin gulet for 12 guests costs more than a smaller boat. Length, deck space and build quality all factor in.

Season

Peak is roughly June–September. The same gulet is often 20–30% less in the May and October shoulder months — warm seas, far quieter bays.

Destination

Türkiye is the most accessible starting point; Croatia and Greece sit in the middle; Italy’s Amalfi Coast is the premium end.

Standard of yacht

From beautifully kept traditional gulets to ultra-luxury vessels with jacuzzis, water toys and near one-to-one crew ratios.

What’s included — and the gulet advantage

Your weekly charter fee covers the whole yacht, its full crew (captain, chef, deckhand and hostess), insurance, use of the water-sports equipment, and — crucially — fuel for a normal cruising itinerary (typically up to around four hours’ cruising a day).

That fuel inclusion is the gulet advantage. Unlike a standard MYBA luxury-yacht charter — where fuel is billed on top and a large “APA” cash float (often ~30%) is standard — a gulet rolls fuel in. An APA is rarely required, only for the most exclusive gulets or very small groups. It makes a gulet both simpler and better value than its headline price suggests.

Sitting outside the rate: VAT (varies by country, below), your chosen food & drink package, and minor extras such as gratuity, airport transfers, private-marina fees and fuel for motorised toys.

Food & drink — transparent, per person

Rather than an open-ended fund, food is a simple per-person, per-week package. In Türkiye we provision in-house for the freshest local ingredients — and drinks are served at cost, with no markup.

Per person / weekHalf boardFull board
Türkiye€490€595
Croatia€550€850

In Türkiye, drinks are provided at cost price with no markup, and you’re welcome to bring your own with no corkage. Children’s discounts apply on all packages.

VAT & taxes by destination

  • Türkiye — 20% VAT (KDV) is added to the charter fee and the food package.
  • Croatia — the quoted weekly rate is VAT-inclusive (13%); there’s nothing to add on top.
  • Greece — typically 9.6–12% for a gulet with a Greek charter licence, or 24% without. We confirm the rate on your chosen yacht, plus the small TEPAI cruising tax.

A worked example

A mid-sized Turkish gulet for 10 guests in June:

  • Charter fee — ~€20,000 (crew & fuel included)
  • Full board, 10 × €595 — €5,950
  • Turkish VAT (20%) — ~€5,190

€31,000 all-in for the group — about €3,100 per person for the week, crew and fuel included.

Illustrative only — every charter is quoted to your exact yacht, party and dates.

Is a gulet charter worth it?

Set against a luxury villa plus restaurants, transfers and the same view each day, an all-in crewed gulet — private chef, captain and a new bay every morning — is often better value than it first appears. Since 2009 we’ve matched guests to the right boat for their budget and group; the right pairing is what makes the week.

Gulet charter cost: your questions

Is a gulet charter priced per person or per boat?

Per boat. You charter the entire gulet privately for your group, with full crew — the weekly rate is for the whole yacht, not per person. On a 10-guest gulet, a week typically works out at roughly €3,000–€4,000 per person all-in, including crew and fuel.

Is fuel included in a gulet charter?

Yes. Unlike a standard MYBA luxury-yacht charter — where fuel is billed on top and a large APA cash float is standard — a gulet charter includes fuel for a normal cruising itinerary (typically up to around four hours’ cruising per day). An APA is rarely required, only for the most exclusive gulets or very small groups.

When is the cheapest time to charter a gulet?

The May and October shoulder season. The same gulet is often 20–30% less than the July–August peak, with seas still warm and the bays far quieter.

How much do food and drink cost on board?

Food is charged transparently as a per-person, per-week package — not an open-ended fund. In Türkiye it is €490 (half board) or €595 (full board) per person per week, and drinks are provided at cost with no markup (you may also bring your own, with no corkage). In Croatia it is €550 (half board) or €850 (full board) per person per week.

Are there hidden costs in a gulet charter?

No. Beyond the charter fee the main additions are VAT (which varies by country) and your chosen food package — both shown clearly up front. Smaller extras can include gratuity, airport transfers and fuel for motorised water-toys. Because fuel for cruising is already included, gulet charters avoid the large open-ended APA associated with standard yacht charters.

How much does a week cost all-in for a group?

As an illustration: a mid-sized Turkish gulet for 10 guests in June at around €20,000 charter, plus full board at €595 per person (€5,950), plus 20% Turkish VAT, comes to roughly €31,000 all-in for the group — about €3,100 per person for the week, with crew and fuel included.
