Samarkand emerges from the renowned Etemoglu shipyard in Bodrum as a distinguished 26.5-metre motorsail gulet, representing the finest traditions of Turkish craftsmanship. Built in 2007 and comprehensively refitted in 2024, she showcases an epoxy laminated mahogany hull that speaks to centuries of maritime heritage while incorporating modern engineering excellence.
Her impressive 6.77-metre beam provides exceptional stability and generous interior volumes, while twin 280HP Iveco engines deliver a comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots with a maximum of 10 knots. The substantial 265 square metres of sail area transforms her into a graceful sailing vessel when conditions allow, offering guests the romance of wind-powered navigation across the Mediterranean.
The vessel's layout reflects careful consideration for both relaxation and entertaining, with spacious deck areas flowing seamlessly from bow to stern. Twin 22.5kWa generators ensure uninterrupted power for all onboard systems, while comprehensive navigation equipment including GPS plotter and radar provides confident passage-making capabilities.
Samarkand's recent 2024 refit has enhanced every aspect of her accommodation and technical systems, ensuring she meets the highest standards of contemporary luxury while preserving her authentic gulet character and traditional mahogany beauty.
