Her Story

A/Serenad embodies the enduring appeal of gulet chartering along Turkey's storied Mediterranean coast. Built in Bodrum in 2003 and comprehensively refitted in 2013, this 29-metre vessel measures 7.3 metres across the beam and is powered by a robust 450HP engine, delivering confident cruising performance through the Turkish Riviera's crystalline waters. The 17.5kVA generator ensures consistent electrical availability, whilst air-conditioning throughout maintains serene comfort in each cabin.

The vessel's design philosophy balances tradition with contemporary functionality. Her layout comprises a welcoming saloon with dining facilities, enhanced by both a separate dining table on deck and ample sunbathing mattresses forward, creating distinct social zones for groups of varying temperaments. The saloon features a television and comprehensive entertainment systems, whilst the galley is equipped with professional appliances including a deep freezer, ice maker, and full refrigeration for provisions and cocktails alike.

Below decks, accommodation flows across six thoughtfully appointed cabins. The master suite sets the vessel's tone—a generous space befitting the voyage ahead—whilst two double-bed cabins and two twin-bed cabins provide flexible sleeping configurations. A sixth cabin accommodates an additional guest or combines with a single berth to create further sleeping options. Each cabin boasts individual en-suite shower and toilet facilities, independent air-conditioning, and that quiet confidence of a vessel designed for extended Blue Cruise immersion.

Serenad's water engagement is where her character truly emerges. The complement includes dual canoes for tranquil exploration, stand-up paddle boards for sunrise paddling, and an enviable water sports arsenal: windsurfing equipment, water skis, a wakeboard, monoski, and a ringo for energetic guests. The tender and outboard facilitate seamless access to secluded bays, whilst snorkelling and fishing equipment opens the Aegean's underwater realm. A Seabob and Seabike elevate aquatic leisure to new dimensions, supported by a service boat and outboard for guest transfers and exploration.

Throughout, the vessel speaks to SunGulets' four decades of gulet chartering expertise—meticulous maintenance, considered design, and an unwavering commitment to transforming a week at sea into lasting memory.

The Onboard Experience

Days of Effortless Blue Voyage

Where every hour drifts between sunlit bays and evening anchorages of singular beauty.

A/Serenad's onboard experience unfolds across multiple leisured dimensions. The saloon provides a sophisticated retreat with satellite television, DVD player, and a Bose audio system for evening ambiance. Climate control via air-conditioning extends throughout public spaces, whilst the galley's coffee machine, ice maker, deep freezer, and full refrigeration suite support culinary excellence. A dishwasher eases provisioning rhythms, and the wine cooler preserves vintages for sunset celebrations.

The upper deck commands the voyage's narrative—generous sunbathing mattresses invite unstructured days, the outdoor dining table hosts convivial lunches beneath canvas shade, and an outside shower rinses away salt and sand. Navigation is confident with GPS, autopilot, radar, VHF radio, and comprehensive communications equipment. Entertainment options range from backgammon and playing cards to a PlayStation 3 system, with a movie theatre arrangement for evening gatherings.

Water engagement defines A/Serenad's personality. The dual canoes, twin SUP paddle boards, and Seabob/Seabike duo cater to paddlers and enthusiasts alike. For the energetic, complete water sports equipment encompasses windsurfing, water skis, wakeboard, monoski, ringo, and kneeboard—all supported by the service boat and outboard tender system. The floating dock facilitates seamless water access, whilst snorkelling and fishing equipment open the Aegean's natural bounty. An optional Seadoo Jetski 260 awaits those seeking adrenaline; a standard Jetski also features. Life jackets and diving equipment complete the water safety and exploration suite. Wi-Fi connectivity in Turkish waters ensures digital tethers remain gossamer-thin, whilst the water maker guarantees fresh water abundance for twelve guests across a full week.

Guest Accommodation

Six Cabins, Infinite Horizons

Each private quarter is a serene sanctuary after days spent beneath open skies and endless horizons.

A/Serenad's accommodation comprises six cabins, each enjoying dedicated en-suite facilities with separate shower and toilet—a defining comfort of serious gulet design. The master cabin anchors the sleeping arrangements with a generous double bed and the space to move freely, establishing the voyage's tone of indulgence. Two double-bed cabins offer intimate elegance for couples, whilst two twin-bed cabins provide flexibility for friends or family members preferring separate berths; these twin configurations may convert to double arrangements to accommodate variable group compositions.

A sixth cabin rounds the accommodation—designated as a double-plus-single arrangement, this flexible space accommodates additional guests or serves as a private retreat for a guest preferring solitude. Every cabin benefits from independent air-conditioning climate control, ensuring restful nights regardless of summer's warmth. The interiors reflect gulet tradition: warm woods, subtle appointments, and generous portholes framing passing seascapes—the fundamental design principle being that the voyage itself, not interior theatrics, remains the true luxury.

Combined, the six cabins sleep twelve guests comfortably, a scale perfectly balanced for group dynamics in gulet culture: large enough for genuine social engagement, intimate enough that dinner becomes genuine conversation rather than logistical effort. Separate crew quarters ensure service staff operate independently, preserving guest privacy and the yacht's serene atmosphere throughout even the busiest anchorages.

Türkiye

Where East Meets West on Water

A/Serenad's true domain lies along Turkey's legendary Turkish Riviera, where ancient history, dramatic coastlines, and crystalline anchorages converge to create the world's most storied gulet cruising ground. From Bodrum, her home port, the vessel navigates waters that enchanted the ancients—every headland, every island, every secluded bay carries centuries of seafaring heritage. The iconic Blue Cruise itineraries accessible from Bodrum—to the Gulf of Gokova, into Hisaronu, beyond Fethiye and into the Kekova region—remain gulet chartering's distilled essence.

The Gulf of Gokova unfolds as a natural amphitheatre of protected anchorages, each more beautiful than the last, whilst Hisaronu presents dramatic limestone cliffs rising from impossibly transparent waters. Fethiye marks the entrance to the Lycian coast, where sunken cities ghost beneath the surface and hillside villages cling to slopes overlooking the Aegean. The Kekova region elevates remoteness to art form—archaeological wonder meets pristine wilderness in a landscape where motorised gulets like Serenad glide beneath pine-forested slopes, arriving at anchorages accessible to no road.

With SunGulets' four decades of operational expertise and intimate knowledge of Turkish waters, A/Serenad offers the rare combination of classic gulet experience—those unhurried days of seamless sailing, convivial dinners beneath stars, tender excursions to villages untouched by mass tourism—with contemporary comfort and reliable engineering. The Marmaris and Gocek springboards provide equally compelling entry points, each opening distinct geographical narratives within the same crystalline waters and generous hospitality that have drawn discerning travellers to the Turkish coast for millennia.
