Her Story

Sunworld IX is a gulet of 30 metres in length and 7 metres in beam, with a draft of 2 metres that suits the shallower coves and anchorages of the Turkish coast. Built in 2003 and refitted in 2014, she offers a traditional wooden-hulled character with the comfort of a more recent interior. She accommodates up to 19 guests across eight guest cabins, making her a well-proportioned choice for a family or a small group of friends seeking an unhurried itinerary.

Her home port is Bodrum, from which she cruises the waters of Türkiye. The Aegean and Mediterranean coastline offers a sequence of quiet bays, historic harbours and clear water, and her modest draft allows her to reach many of the anchorages that larger vessels must pass by. Itineraries are shaped around the wishes of the party on board, with time set aside for swimming, exploring ashore and simply remaining at anchor.

Life on board centres on the saloon lounge area and the outdoor seating areas, where guests gather between swims. The aft dining area provides a relaxed setting for meals taken as the afternoon light moves across the water. A crew of professionals attends to the comfort and rhythm of each day, adjusting service to suit the character of the party.

Sunworld IX suits guests who value a calm, well-ordered boat and a cruising pace that follows the day rather than a timetable.

The Onboard Experience

Time on the Water, Unhurried

A considered selection of equipment for swimming, paddling and fishing.

Sunworld IX carries a kayak and a windsurf board for guests who wish to explore the coastline under their own power, whether paddling into a quiet cove or setting out across an open bay. Snorkelling gear is provided for time spent over the reefs and rocky shelves close to the anchorage, and fishing gear is on board for those who prefer to wait patiently for a catch.

Sun loungers on the deck offer a place to rest between swims, and the outdoor seating areas and aft dining area keep the living spaces open to the air. For evenings and wet afternoons, films, streaming and television are available in the saloon.

Guest Accommodation

Eight Cabins, Each With Its Own Bathroom

Eight guest cabins for up to nineteen guests.

Sunworld IX has eight guest cabins, all of which are en-suite, so each has its own private bathroom. Together they accommodate up to 19 guests. The exact arrangement of berths and deck allocation for each cabin is confirmed with the charter team before departure.

Private bathrooms in every cabin mean guests need not share facilities, which suits couples, families and groups who value their own space during a multi-day cruise.
