Alfa: A 70m Benetti Available Now for a Short Italy Charter

·3 min read

Some opportunities arrive with almost no warning — and this is one of them. Alfa, a 70-metre Benetti superyacht and winner of the 2021 World Superyacht Awards in the Displacement Motor Yacht category, has a rare gap in her calendar at the end of June. She's currently in French waters and finishes in Porto Vecchio, Corsica on 6 July. Crucially, charters of under seven days will be considered. For twelve guests ready to move quickly, this is the kind of Italy yacht charter moment that simply doesn't come around twice.

Why Alfa Is Different

Vessels of this calibre rarely become available for shorter bookings. At 70 metres, Alfa sits firmly in superyacht territory — and she carries the credentials to prove it. Built by Benetti, one of the most storied yards in the world, she accommodates 12 guests across seven staterooms attended by a crew of 18. That ratio alone tells you something about the level of service on board.

What sets Alfa apart, though, is the dedicated principal charterer's deck. This isn't simply a larger cabin — it's a private world unto itself, complete with its own gym, massage room, office, and an exclusive foredeck area. If you're travelling as the lead guest or hosting a group, you have a genuinely private retreat above it all. We think it's one of the most thoughtfully conceived principal spaces we've seen on a charter yacht at this size.

Life on Board — Frankly, Exceptional

Beyond the staterooms, Alfa's guest spaces are genuinely extraordinary. The aft main deck swimming pool — 4.2 metres by 2.2 metres and filled with heated fresh water — is a serious centrepiece, not a token gesture. There's a guest gym separate from the principal's private one, an enormous water toys collection, and an on-deck surround sound cinema complete with a popcorn machine and slushy bar. Yes, really. It sounds playful because it is — and that's rather the point. A private yacht charter at this level should feel indulgent in every direction.

An onboard elevator connects the lower deck, main deck, principal charterer's deck, and bridge deck — a detail that speaks to how meticulously Alfa has been conceived for guest comfort rather than simply guest capacity.

The Itinerary: French Waters to Corsica

The routing here is quietly spectacular. Alfa departs from French waters — think the glamour of the Côte d'Azur, the quiet elegance of Porquerolles, the chic little ports of Provence — before finishing at Porto Vecchio on Corsica's southern tip by 6 July. Porto Vecchio is one of the Mediterranean's genuinely beautiful harbour towns: steep granite streets, a Genoese citadel above, and some of the most impossibly turquoise water in the Western Med spread out below. As a closing act for a luxury charter holiday, it's hard to fault.

A Short Charter — But Not a Small Experience

The flexibility to book under seven days on a vessel of this stature is genuinely unusual. Owners and central agencies simply don't offer it often. This gap exists because the calendar has opened up — and it won't stay open long. If your group has been considering a Western Mediterranean gulet cruise or a luxury yacht charter in this corner of Europe this summer, Alfa represents a compelling, time-sensitive case for acting now.

Our team is ready to discuss availability, routing, and everything in between. Reach out to us directly — the window here is short, and Alfa deserves guests who'll make the most of every hour aboard her.
