Her Story

Gulet Gardelin is a distinguished motor sailer born of the Adriatic's rich maritime tradition. Originally constructed in 1999 and completely transformed through a comprehensive renovation in 2020, she emerged from that refit as a first-class luxury sailing vessel — her lines refined, her interiors renewed, and her character elevated to meet the expectations of the most discerning charter guests.

Stretching 28 metres in overall length with a beam of 6.90 metres and a draft of 3 metres, Gardelin offers the generous proportions that define the classic gulet silhouette. Her hull commands respect at every anchorage, while her traditional wooden construction recalls the craftsmanship of the Adriatic boatyards that have shaped Mediterranean sailing for centuries. At a comfortable cruising speed of 9 knots, she moves with unhurried grace between the islands and coves of the Croatian coast.

The 2020 renovation touched every aspect of the vessel, transforming what was already a well-loved charter yacht into something altogether more refined. New finishes, updated furnishings, and modernised systems were introduced throughout, ensuring that Gardelin's interior now reflects the understated luxury her guests deserve. A comfortable main salon provides a welcoming retreat during inclement weather, with dining and relaxation spaces that feel genuinely residential in their warmth.

On deck, Gardelin is fitted with her traditional sails — available to be unfurled under fair conditions, lending those golden-hour photographs an authenticity that pure motor yachts simply cannot offer. Her 1,400-litre water tank ensures self-sufficiency across extended passages, while her full complement of safety equipment meets all regulatory requirements. Gardelin is, in every sense, a vessel built for the pleasure of the journey as much as the destination.

The Onboard Experience

Life Unfolded on the Adriatic

Where azure waters, open skies, and effortless comfort converge into one seamless experience.

Gardelin is appointed with everything required to make a week at sea feel genuinely indulgent. On deck, sixteen sun mattresses are laid out across generous sunbathing areas, inviting long afternoons spent beneath the Dalmatian sun with the sound of the sea as the only soundtrack. A deck shower allows guests to rinse off after time in the water, and the crew attend to every comfort with quiet attentiveness — making beds and refreshing cabins each day as a matter of course.

For those drawn to the water, Gardelin carries a 4.6-metre tender powered by a 50HP engine, serving as the gateway to exploration ashore and on the sea. Two kayaks and two stand-up paddleboards invite independent adventure around each anchorage, while water skiing and donut rides are available on request with fuel charged per usage. Ten complete sets of masks, snorkels, and fins ensure the entire group can discover the extraordinary underwater world of the Croatian coastline simultaneously, and basic fishing equipment is on hand for those who wish to try their luck in these rich Adriatic waters.

Below decks, Gardelin is equipped with air conditioning throughout — five hours of complimentary use included per day — ensuring a cool sanctuary during the heat of summer. Entertainment is well catered for with a television connected to a local antenna, a DVD player, a laptop available for guest use, and Wi-Fi mobile internet connectivity keeping guests connected wherever they choose. USB multimedia connections, board games, and a full deck of cards complete the picture for evenings at anchor. In the galley, an espresso machine and ice maker stand ready to fuel mornings and keep sundowner drinks perfectly chilled, while the ship carries a full complement of regulation safety equipment for complete peace of mind.

Guest Accommodation

Seven Cabins, One Adriatic Dream

Intimate, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed — a private sanctuary for every guest aboard.

Gardelin accommodates fourteen guests across seven well-proportioned cabins, each designed to offer a genuine sense of comfort and privacy. Every cabin is equipped with its own en-suite bathroom featuring a home-style toilet and a shower box, ensuring that guests never need to share facilities. Toilet paper, soap, and fresh towels — two hand towels and two large bath towels per person per week, with beach towels provided on a two-per-week basis — are supplied throughout, and additional linen is always available on request.

All cabins are served by 24V/220 electricity and benefit from individual air conditioning, maintaining a comfortable sleeping temperature regardless of the summer heat on deck. Bed sheets are included as standard and can be changed on request, while the crew attend to daily cabin service — making beds and emptying bins — so that guests return each evening to a fresh and welcoming space. The combination of traditional craftsmanship, post-renovation finishes, and attentive crew service gives each cabin the feel of a boutique hotel room set against the backdrop of the Adriatic sea.

Croatia

The Adriatic’s Best-Kept Secret

The Croatian Adriatic is one of the world's most rewarding cruising grounds, and Gardelin is ideally suited to explore its full breadth. From the pine-scented islands of the Kornati archipelago — a national park of extraordinary geological drama — to the medieval splendour of Dubrovnik's old city walls seen from the water, every passage aboard Gardelin reveals a new layer of this coastline's beauty. The vessel's 28-metre length and shallow 3-metre draft allow her to navigate comfortably into the intimate coves and fishing villages that larger yachts cannot reach.

A typical week might begin in Split, Croatia's vibrant second city whose Diocletian's Palace rises directly from the harbourfront, before threading south through the pine-covered hills and lavender fields of Hvar. The glamorous bars of Hvar Town give way to the tranquil vineyards of Šolta and the dramatic cliffs of Brač, where the famous Zlatni Rat beach shifts its shape with each tide. Further south, the Pelješac Peninsula offers exceptional local wine and oysters harvested directly from the bay at Mali Ston — a highlight that no thoughtful itinerary should omit.

Gardelin's sails can be unfurled on fair-weather days to lend a romantic authenticity to the passage between islands, while her tender and water toys ensure that every hidden bay becomes an invitation to play. With an experienced captain who knows these waters intimately, a chef preparing fresh local produce each day, and the warm hospitality of the Croatian coast at every anchorage, a week aboard Gardelin is a journey through one of the Mediterranean's most enduring and beautiful landscapes.
